Referral policy

KeyKeeper is free and has no account. To fund the time spent keeping 113 provider templates verified, some templates carry a referral sign-up link from the provider's own referral program.

The rules

• Only for people without an account. At the first login step, the agent asks whether you already have an account when the conversation has not answered that. If you do, it gives only the normal "create the key" page. If you do not, it gives that page first and the optional referral sign-up page as a second link.
• Always disclosed, in the data itself. Every template with a link states what you get and what KeyKeeper gets. keykeeper providers show <id> prints those fields, the agent says both benefits in its second sentence, each provider page labels the sign-up link separately, and this page lists every program.
• Never influences what is listed or in what order. Providers are listed alphabetically inside fixed categories; a test in the repository fails if that changes. The recommended permissions and every other word of advice in a template are written the same way for providers with and without a program.
• No extra App surface. Referral links do not appear in KeyKeeper's add-key form or Settings. Decline one and the agent continues with the ordinary provider flow.
